Year 6 visit to Synagogue

26th September 2019

Last week our Year 6 children were taken over to Liverpool in small groups using the school minibus so they could visit Princes Road Synagogue. This is the first Grade I listed synagogue outside of London.

Liverpool Old Hebrew Congregation is a friendly, Orthodox Jewish community in the heart of Liverpool, steeped in tradition and Victorian elegance. This community embraces its illustrious past whilst looking to the future and welcomes friends, old and new, to its weekly Shabbat services and on festivals and High Holy Days. Please visit the website to find out more:

The children were very impressed with what they saw and with what they learnt from Eric Cohen who had also visited them in school earlier this term.
