Year 4 join royalty in "greatest possible honour" bestowed on Sir David Attenborough

27th September 2019
Some of our Year 4 children, dressed as penquins, were among the several thousand people who gathered at Cammell Laird shipyard to witness the official naming of the UK's polar flagship, RRS Sir David Attenborough.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also there; the Duchess released a bottle of champagne which smashed against the hull of the vessel.
Sir David said the ship being named after him was the "greatest possible honour" that had been bestowed on him. The ship's role will be to address the climate crisis.
