Vouchers for Free School Meals - new system

19th April 2020
We are continuing to arrange for FSM vouchers to be sent to eligible children/families but from tomorrow the system we have been using will change - not our decision!

Previous vouchers will still be accessible and are still valid.

The Department for Education (DfE) has asked a company called Edenred UK to deliver supermarket vouchers to those families, starting from Monday 20th April.

Step 1
You will receive an eCode which will be sent to the email address we have for you.

Step 2
Go to www.freeschoolmeals.co.uk
Choose your supermarket eGift card - redeem your eCode
You cannot use the eCode directly with the supermarket; it must be exchanged for an eGift card.

Step 3
The eGift card will be sent to the email address entered when you check-out from www.freeschoolmeals.co.uk and can then be spent in store at the chosen supermarket.

Step 4
The supermarket eGift card is a digital voucher. The eGift card email contains a link to a barcode which can be presented at the till in-store, either on a smartphone screen or printed on a piece of paper, just like a gift card. Some eGift cards can be used to purchase online.

What supermarkets are available?
M&S food

PLEASE NOTE: The eGift card is issued to parents in respect of the free school meal benefit and will only be accepted in store for the purchase of food and groceries.

If you have any difficulties, please contact school using Dojo, email (schooloffice@liscard.wirral.sch.uk) or phone (select option 1 to leave a message if there is no answer). We will get back to you as soon as we can.
