Christingle Services 2020

18th November 2020

Donations would be greatly received towards the work The Children's Society deliver all over the country, to support children and young people.

If you would like to support, children can bring in a donation to class on the day of their Christingle and pop their money into the Christingle Candle in their classroom.  The money will help to support many.

Now, more than ever, we must shine the light for those living in the darkest situations. Together, we can rekindle the hope for children and young people across the country.

Christingle is a joyful celebration that brings families and communities together to share the light of Jesus and spread a message of hope.

Each element of a Christingle has a special meaning and helps to tell the Christian story:

  •          The orange represents the world
  •          The red ribbon (or tape) symbolises the love and blood of Christ
  •          The sweets and dried fruit represent all of God’s creations
  •          The lit candle represents Jesus’s light in the world, bringing hope to people living in darkness.

Over the last 50 years, Christingle celebrations have raised millions of pounds to support our life-changing work with children and young people.  The money you raise can help connect them to the Children's Society services, and rekindle the hope they deserve.

Thank you.
