19th January 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for supporting us to keep everyone safe by following the one way system and the wearing of masks. As a school we have updated the School Risk assessment and will upload it onto the school website.

Also we appreciate the children either, arriving promptly for school, or joining online sessions on time. I know it isn't easy but thank you. Miss Moran is in the process of adding a remote learning page to the website to share with you our approach, weekly timetables etc.

You may know that the Council is consulting communities on a number of cost saving measures. One of the proposals is to stop school crossing patrols. A significant number of our children use the school crossing. If you wish to share your concern about the proposed removal of the service please complete the online survey. Your views are really important and do make a difference. The link to the survey is below:

From Monday, all staff in school will have access to Lateral flow tests. Staff will be able to take a test twice a week. The purpose of the testing is to help break chains of transmission by identifying people who could be carrying the virus but have no symptoms.

Just a quick reminder that the school will be closed to children on February 12th 2021 for staff training. This is a pre-planned INSET Day.

At the moment we are uncertain as to the arrangements for February half term. If the National lockdown has not been lifted, it is likely that the school will remain open for the childcare of critical workers only. If this is the case we will need to restrict numbers. When we receive any more information I will update you.

Best wishes,

Sue
