Years 5 and 6 Trip to York

17th November 2017
A total of 85, Year 5 and Year 6 children enjoyed a fun-packed three day trip to York earlier this week.

Our itinerary included trips to:
  • York War Memorial to lay a wreath and pay our respects
  • York’s Chocolate Story – a very entertaining and informative guided tour to discover the stories behind the greatest names in chocolate, and of course, plenty of samples to try!
  • The National Railway Museum – one of the largest collections in the world from over 300 years of railway history
  • York Castle Museum – exploring and understanding how people have lived over the past 300 years
  • The world famous Jorvik Viking Centre – built on the site of one of the most astounding discoveries of modern archaeology, allowing us to experience life as it would have been in 10th century York
  • Vue Cinema visit to see Paddington 2
  • Yorkshire Wildlife Park – a walk through wildlife adventure where we were able to get up close and personal with some of the most magnificent animals on the planet!
We hope you enjoy looking at a selection of photographs taken during our trip (more still to be added).
